The FIUS Industry Lead is responsible for growing News Australia's share in the switching market across Finance, Insurance, Utilities, and Superannuation
This role positions News Australia as the leading media partner for building consumer trust and influencing complex decision-making journeys. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Strategy, Insights & Planning (SIP), and other internal teams, this role will lead commercial strategy, industry planning and GTM initiatives to drive incremental revenue from both agency-represented and direct FIUS clients.
Reporting directly into the Head of Industry Growth, this role ensures we remain at the forefront of industry trends and drive sustainable, measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute the 'How We Plan to Win' Framework: Lead the application of the Emerging Industries framework within the FIUS industry, aligning plans with market needs and consumer insights.
* Revenue Growth: Drive new and incremental revenue across the FIUS category, partnering with Sales to unlock opportunities with existing and new clients.
* Market Activation: Deliver the "Trust Formula" in market, building credibility, authority and consumer trust through strategic storytelling and media solutions.
* Strategic Partnerships & GTM Execution: Partner with SIP and Steerco to develop and activate Go To Market opportunities that leverage insights and drive measurable business outcomes.
* Internal Education & Capability Building: Act as the internal champion for FIUS strategy, delivering education sessions, sharing industry insights and building internal capability across teams.
* Industry Representation: Represent News Australia at key FIUS industry events and networking opportunities, strengthening brand presence and building valuable relationships across the category.
Who are you?
* Minimum of 6+ years in a Media Agency or Marketing role within Finance, Insurance, Utilities or Superannuation industries.
* Deep understanding of trust marketing, the switching economy and how media can influence complex decision making frameworks.
* Ability to translate complex FIUS products into simple, engaging storytelling ideas that build consumer connection and drive action.
* Proven track record of delivering commercial outcomes through successful partnerships, integrated campaigns and media strategies.
* Collaborative leader who can align Sales, Editorial, Product and Marketing teams toward shared industry goals.
