Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Operating and driving heavy vehicles, ALL combinations of trailers.
* Transporting goods safely and efficiently over designated routes.
* Sign for their loads, including pre-departure documentation.
* Interact with customers upon delivery.
* Complying with all traffic laws and regulations related to heavy vehicle operation.
* Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
* Maintaining accurate records of driving hours, rest periods, and vehicle maintenance.
* Monitoring vehicle performance and promptly reporting mechanical issues.
* Adhering to company policies and safety procedures while on the road.
* Interacting professionally with customers and other road users.
* Ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods while managing delivery schedules.
Requirements:
* Comfortable couple/decoupling trailers (essential)
* Comfortable reversing (essential)
* Be physically fit.
* Wharf experience preferred
* BFM Preferred
* A - Double experience (Desired)
* Container Cartage experience (Desired)
* Reliable and punctual.
* Mix of local (Riverina) and Interstate runs (Melbourne Port Precinct)
* Friendly manner for customer interaction.
* Good written and spoken English.
* Local runs
* Have a clean police record.
* Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
