Role Overview:


Community Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Mental Health Professional to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing recovery-focused clinical services to individuals with mental illness, distress, and/or risk issues.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers, and other stakeholders to promote consumer-centered care and advocate for their needs. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality, contemporary clinical mental health practice.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to support consumers in achieving their recovery goals.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, share knowledge, and expertise to ensure the best possible outcomes for consumers.
* Deliver evidence-based interventions, such as therapy sessions, education, and support groups, to empower consumers to manage their mental health and well-being.

* Tertiary qualifications and current registration with the relevant Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist.
* Tertiary qualifications for Social Workers, Counsellors, or Welfare Officers with eligibility for membership with relevant professional associations.
* Demonstrated experience in providing contemporary clinical mental health practice, including conducting mental health assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.
* Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and its application in a clinical setting.
* High-level communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, families, carers, and other stakeholders.

1. Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of recovery-focused clinical services and the ability to provide high-quality care to consumers with mental illness, distress, and/or risk issues.
2. Applicants must also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers, and other stakeholders.
