Senior Accountant | Sunshine Coast Location | Pathway to Client Manager
Looking to take the next big step in your accounting career?
This progressive, people-focused accounting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. You'll work closely with experienced leaders, manage your own client portfolio, and be supported with a clear pathway to Client Manager.
Open to ambitious Intermediates If you have 2–3 years' experience in public practice, strong technical skills, and a hunger to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
THE ROLE
Working directly with a highly experienced manager and alongside a supportive team of professionals, your responsibilities will include:
* Managing your own client portfolio across a broad range of industries and entity types
* Preparation of BAS/IAS, financial statements and tax returns (excluding SMSF)
* Division 7A, CGT and FBT calculations
* Attending and contributing to client meetings and advisory discussions
* Reviewing the work of junior and intermediate accountants
* Supporting the continued development and mentoring of junior team members
* Building strong relationships with clients and delivering a high standard of service
ABOUT YOU
You're an experienced public practice accountant who can confidently handle a range of tax and compliance work, while supporting your team and engaging directly with clients.
You will bring:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Australian accounting firm
* CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking
* Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
* Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
* Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written and interpersonal
* A proactive mindset and ability to work autonomously
