With a strong focus on governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement, the organisation is seeking an experienced Board and Corporate Support Officer to join their Perth-based team.
Your new role
As the Board and Corporate Support Officer, you will independently manage the board secretariat function, ensuring smooth communication between the Chair, Commissioners, and senior management. You will coordinate board and subcommittee meetings, prepare agendas and papers, monitor action items, and maintain confidential records. You’ll also oversee Commissioner inductions, training, and stakeholder engagements, including field visits and hospitality arrangements.In addition to board support, you will provide responsive administrative assistance to the corporate office, contribute to Freedom of Information processes, maintain compliance registers, and support project delivery. You’ll play a key role in facilitating governance reporting and strategic risk reviews.
- Managing board secretariat functions and governance documentation
- Coordinating meetings, agendas, minutes, and follow-ups
- Administering board management software and maintaining confidential records
- Supporting the Commissioner's onboarding and professional development
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement and logistics for field visits
- Providing administrative support to the Perth office
- Assisting with FOI applications and compliance monitoring
- Supporting strategic projects and reporting activities
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive experience providing high-level board or executive support in government or a similarly complex environment
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance frameworks, and strategic risk reporting
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines independently
- High-level written communication skills, including drafting agendas, minutes, briefing notes, and formal correspondence
- Proven discretion and professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence in liaising across senior leadership, board members, and external parties
- Proficiency in board management software and corporate systems
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and drive outcomes.
