We're seeking a reliable and emotionally aware Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 in-home and community-based support for an NDIS participant living in Swan Hill, VIC.
This role focuses on capacity building, with an emphasis on digital literacy, emotional regulation, and social engagement. You'll be supporting an adult participant to develop confidence and skills around using technology (such as mobile phones, emails, and internet browsing) while building daily routines, supporting mental wellbeing, and encouraging social connection.
This is a long-term, low-intensity role, ideal for someone who values consistency, meaningful relationships, and a calm work environment.
Key Details
* Location: Swan Hill, VIC
* Hours: Approximately 2 hours per week to start, with potential to increase
* Days/Times: Flexible weekday daytime (to be agreed with the participant)
* Employment Type: Casual (in-person)
* Pay Rate: $35.15 per hour including 25% casual loading, based on the SCHADS Award – Home Care Sector, Level 3 Pay Point 1
* Probation: All new workers commence on the standard base rate for the first 3 months (probation period). Rates are reviewed after this time based on reliability, communication, and consistency with notes and shifts.
Your Responsibilities

* Maintain professional boundaries and accurate shift notes
Essential Requirements
* Your own vehicle and valid Australian driver's licence
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module (free online)
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* Strong digital literacy skills
* Kindness, patience, and reliability
Desirable
* Experience supporting people with psychosocial disability or autism
* A background in IT, education, or other tech-based fields
