Overview
The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a highly motivated Executive and Special Projects Officer (CIT Solutions Transition surge support) to support the CIT Solutions Transition Group.
The Executive and Special Projects Officer (CIT Solutions Transition surge support) reports to the Chief Industry & Innovation Officer and is responsible for:
Responsibilities
- Act as a communication liaison between internal/external stakeholders, during CIT Solutions’ closure.
- Build and maintain positive business relationships across CIT Solutions Transition Group and CIT.
- Leverage corporate knowledge and past experiences to provide strategic insights and continuity in business operations.
- Coordinate and contribute to cross-organisational projects.
- Draft and disseminate internal and external communications, as requested.
- Provide high-quality written communications and reports.
- Manage agendas, papers, action items and minutes for Committees, as required and compliance with CIT’s Governance frameworks.
- Ensure follow-up on Committee actions and requests from stakeholders.
- Provide executive-level project support for identified special projects, for which the Officer will be accountable for timely, high-quality delivery.
- Support change management and strategic communications efforts and provide advice on policy compliance.
- Contribute as required, to tender responses aligned with strategic priorities.
This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months with the possibility of extension up to six months.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
