**ABOUT THE COMPANY.**
Join a local council as a Road and Safety Transport Officer. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.
**ABOUT THE POSITION.**
As a Road and Safety Transport Officer, you will liaise with TransportNSW and the community to improve road and safety matters by promoting programs such as yellow lines, frequently misunderstood traffic rules, child car seat checking and pedestrian safety.
**DUTIES.**
- Engage the community to decrease risks and promote road safety
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including TransportNSW
- Represent Council through community engagement to hold programs
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.**
- Qualifications in Engineering, Psychology or relevant degree including Behaviour
- Prior experience using parking technology is desirable
- Effective communication and presentation skills
