About The Role
The Casual Caterer - Childcare is a crucial role that ensures the delivery of high-quality meals and snacks in our Childcare Centres. This position is responsible for preparing meals that adhere to nutritional guidelines and cater to the dietary and developmental needs of children aged six weeks to five years.
You will be expected to work flexibly, stepping in to cover absences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Your contributions will directly enhance the well-being of children and support their growth in a nurturing environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable individual who is passionate about food and child care.
* Possess a TAFE Certificate in Food Hygiene or equivalent experience in a similar role.
* Hold a Safe Food Handling Certificate and a current Working With Children Check.
* Demonstrated experience in planning and preparing nutritional meals for young children.
* Ability to work independently and respond flexibly to changing situations.
* Applicants will be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Boostrix (Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Diptheria); MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Hepatitis A & B or demonstrate their immunity prior to commencement.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. You should be able to create a positive atmosphere for children, parents, and colleagues alike.
