Job Overview:
* We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:
* The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, transaction processing and reconciliations, and payroll administration.
* This role involves supporting month-end processes, compliance, procurement, and system optimization.
* The incumbent will ensure strong financial controls are maintained.
Main Responsibilities:
* Financial Transactions: Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including supplier payments, customer invoicing, payroll assistance, and debt collection.
* Month-End Support and Compliance: Assist in month-end activities, financial reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with financial standards and tax regulations.
* Financial Systems, Reporting, and Cost Management: Maintain and improve financial systems, support forecasting and reporting.
Requirements:
* 2–4+ years' experience in finance, accounting or bookkeeping roles.
* Strong understanding of accounting processes, payroll systems, and compliance requirements.
* Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero and payment systems like ANZ, Cin7Pay and Stripe (preferred).
* High proficiency in Excel and experience with reconciliation and month-end processes.
* Familiarity with Australian tax and payroll legislation.
* Exposure to budgeting and reporting processes is advantageous.
