About the Role
We are seeking applications for a casual Laboratory Technician to join our modern, NATA-accredited laboratory. The role involves preparing samples for analysis and requires a versatile individual who can adapt to various tasks and work across multiple teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory processes.
Responsibilities
* Sample Preparation & Analysis: Prepare and analyse samples, ensuring tests are conducted within the required holding time.
* Quality Control: Follow all quality control protocols to maintain high standards.
* Safety: Comply with laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
* Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
* Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong teamwork skills
* A degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
