Job Title: Team Leader Environment Restoration
A key leadership position is available for a highly skilled and experienced team leader to oversee environment restoration projects.
About the Role:
* Maintain council's natural assets, restoring habitat, improving water quality and reducing the impact of pest plants and feral animals.
* Support local environmental volunteer groups, work programs, community environmental events and activities.
* Oversee bushfire management.
* Oversee coastal, wetland and wildlife management.
Key Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management, Landscape Ecology, Biology or other relevant qualification and experience.
* Accredited chainsaw ticket (Level 2).
* Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate (ACDC).
* Firefighting supervisor (Vegetation)
* Current 'C' class manual driver's licence.
* Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).
* First Aid Certificate

Additional Information:
* Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with experience supervising field based or operational staff and providing technical advice and support in construction/maintenance delivery related fields.
* Demonstrated experience in identifying, scoping and supervising of external contracted resources, in addition to internal works capacity to achieve efficient and cost-effective outcomes.
* High level of experience in supervision of multiple and simultaneous maintenance activities across geographically dispersed work sites.
* Experience in applying WHS, Traffic Management systems and frameworks in an operational environment, including prestart inspections, site audits and licence checks.
