Operating at a state‐wide level, our Facilities & Maintenance team supports the delivery of UnitingCare Queensland services through proactively managing and maintaining the extensive property portfolios in South East Queensland (SEQ), Rural and Regional Queensland (R&R) and Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS). Joining the team in the Maintenance and Grounds Officer role gives you the opportunity to work autonomously and connect with colleagues, residents and contractors at a designated BlueCare local site while being supported by teams across the region and the state.
A day in the role will involve balancing general gardening duties and lawn care, maintaining plant and equipment, undertaking minor property work, and contributing to a safe, pleasing environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Qualifications
* Experience in maintenance, building, plant, equipment, gardening or landscape, or the ability to acquire these skills.
* Demonstrated communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Commitment to be a proactive member of a regional team.
* Relevant trade qualifications or certificate in facilities, building or construction are desirable.
* Ability to manage work schedules and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency with IT systems.
* Current Australian driver's licence.
* Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies.
* NDIS workers screening clearance or willingness to obtain.
