Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne’s east and outer east. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries.

Role
As a Cardiac Sonographer – your responsibilities will include:
- To perform stress echocardiography (exercise & pharmacological)
- To assist with transoesophageal echocardiography
- To perform the fitting, removal & analysis of Holter monitors as required
- To perform the technical aspects of exercise stress testing
- To teach & mentor technologists in training
- Be prepared to take part in the “on call” roster
- To assist with the wider day to day running of the unit, as directed by the unit manager/acting unit manager. i.e. taking patient bookings, ordering of supplies and liaising with ward staff and LMO’s
Selection Criteria
- Be eligible for or registered as a Sonographer (Cardiac) with ASAR
- Bachelor of Science (or equivalent)
- Mayfield Certificate IV in Cardiac Technology (or equivalent)
- Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) (or equivalent)
- Be classified under the UG 1 classification structure
- Have at least 7 years postgraduate experience
- Have administrative and/or managerial responsibilities as designated by the employer
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal verbal, written and electronic communication skills
- Ability to perform tasks as directed with special focus on customer needs
- Consultative, organizational & leadership skills
- Teaching coaching & mentoring skills
- Have and be able to demonstrate extensive specialised knowledge and skills, in one or more of the specific branches of the discipline.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025
