Based in Melbourne's South East, a global leader in their space - manufacturing and distribution. With operations in all states across Australia, our client is seeking a motivated & driven team player to permanently join their Finance Team in the position of Accounts Receivable Officer.
**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a busy, hands-on, full-function role.
You will work in a team of 2, be self-motivated to achieve individual targets and assist others to achieve team targets. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence our customer's payment patterns through your professional customer engagement skills is pivotal to this role. You will have proven experience working in a dynamic and continually changing environment. Experience using a large ERP is important to be successful in this role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Responsibility for a mixed ledger of clients including business critical and hire customers
- Collections
- Daily banking and allocations
- Monthly reconciliations
- Month-end reporting
- Inbound queries
- Customer refunds
- Managing internal and external collection processes
- Ad hoc duties as requested
**Skills / Experience / Qualifications**:
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service focus with a strong understanding of commercial practices
- Strong systems experience
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
