Therapeutic Specialist Role

The Therapeutic Specialist provides expert guidance and support to carers and staff in interacting with children and young people, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored treatment plans.
Direct therapeutic services including Family Therapy are provided as required, promoting close collaboration with Managers, program staff and service partners on complex cases and quality issues.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Completing thorough therapeutic reports and care plans for children and young people
* Developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual needs
* Providing expert advice and support on therapeutic practice
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related field
* Current registration as a psychologist with the relevant governing body
* Postgraduate training in child, adolescent and family clinical practice and systemic thinking is desirable
