Pay rate: $180,000 per annum plus 12% super (+ $30,000 bonus structure)
Overview
Our client, Elite Supplements, is seeking an experienced and digitally savvy Business Development Manager to drive network growth, strategic partnerships and revenue expansion across a national retail and franchise network. This role will play a key part in identifying new opportunities, strengthening franchise performance and expanding the brand's presence through strategic alliances and wholesale growth.
Elite Supplements is one of Australia's fastest-growing health and wellness groups, proudly named in the AFR Top 100 Fast Companies for three consecutive years. They operate a national inventory and distribution warehouse, 140+ retail and franchise stores, multiple fast-growing eCommerce channels and an APAC entity in Singapore. Their multi-entity group structure spans wholesale, retail, franchise, eCommerce, and homebrand operations.
Working closely with senior leadership, the Business Development Manager will lead franchise development initiatives, manage high-value partnerships and support retail efficiencies across both corporate and franchise stores.
This is a highly strategic and commercially focused role suited to someone with strong retail experience and a proven ability to grow networks, develop partnerships and deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Franchise Growth & Development
* Identify and develop opportunities for new franchise locations across key markets
* Manage the franchise recruitment pipeline from lead generation through to onboarding
* Support international franchising opportunities and expansion strategies
* Assist with leasing discussions and site identification for new store openings
Sales & Revenue Growth
* Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities
* Identify and secure new revenue streams across retail, wholesale and partnership channels
* Drive media and promotional sales opportunities within the network
Strategic Partnerships
* Build and manage relationships with large-scale affiliate partners and strategic lead sources (e.g. fitness networks, retail partners and digital platforms)
* Leverage partnerships to generate leads, brand exposure and revenue growth
* Identify new partnership opportunities that align with the company's growth strategy
Network & Retail Support
* Support franchise partners to improve retail performance and operational efficiencies
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy
* Assist with wholesale supply opportunities and retail expansion initiatives
Training & Network Development
* Provide training and support to franchise partners and internal teams
* Maintain and manage the network intranet to ensure effective communication and resource sharing across the franchise network
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in Business Development within a retail environment
* Strong understanding of franchise models and network growth
* Proven ability to build and manage sales pipelines and strategic partnerships
* Experience working with large affiliate partners or national brands
* Digitally savvy with the ability to leverage online channels for lead generation and growth
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities
