An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Architect with DBP registration to join a creative, growing multidisciplinary studio. This role is ideal for someone with residential experience on private homes and Class 2 buildings, and a passion for managing multiple small-mid-scale residential projects. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to running projects from concept through to completion, while ensuring designs are executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage multiple residential projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
* Produce detailed technical documentation and drawings in ArchiCAD, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
* Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and efficient design solutions while maintaining strong technical execution
* Demonstrate strong project management skills, liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
* Manage project workflows and timelines independently while fostering a collaborative team environment
* Proactively identify issues and implement effective solutions throughout the design and construction process
Skills and Experience
* Completed qualifications in Architecture
* Architects Registration and Design Building Registration
* Experience using ArchiCAD in a professional environment, particularly for residential projects
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality documentation for single residential projects
* Strong technical knowledge, including detailed documentation and construction drawing preparation
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple small residential projects from design through to completion
* In-depth understanding of Australian design, tender, and construction processes, with a focus on local NSW regulations and the BCA
* Proficiency in Photoshop/Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous
* A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, with a 'can-do' attitude
