About the Role
This is a Permanent Full‐Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Pharmacy Department.
Responsibilities
* Processing prescriptions, including computer entry and assembling items – under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
* Preparing and manufacturing non‐sterile pharmaceutical products, under the guidance of a supervising pharmacist
* Compounding sterile medications
* Imprest scanning and delivering of medications to clinical areas
* Working as part of the roster for weekends and public holidays
Essential Qualifications
* Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience working in a busy environment, especially those involving working directly with the public
* Familiarity with the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
* Completed or working towards Certificate III or IV in Hospital Pharmacy
* Certification or experience in manufacturing intravenous solutions and other sterile pharmaceutical products
Additional Requirements
* Current National Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain it
* Valid Working with Children Check
* Compliance with RCH's "Staff Immunisation – Prevention of Vaccine‐Preventable Diseases" procedure
