Training Officer
* 12 Months Fixed Term Full-time opportunity based in Lithgow
* 5 weeks annual leave, 15 days personal/carers leave

About the role:
Reporting through to the Western Regional Manager, you will work closely with the team to support all areas of training across emergency response, mines rescue, mine safety and first aid. You will also be required to conduct risk assessments and ensure RTO standards are followed throughout our training processes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting emergency response and other training on site and at the station
* Ensuring the specialist equipment is maintained to a suitable standard
* Conducting routine maintenance including cleaning and rebuilding breathing apparatus
* Presenting and assessing Work Health Safety and rescue related training courses
* Conducting audits and risk assessments
* Being an advocate for safety and demonstrate behaviours aligned to safety
About you:
Your education, experience and skills will include:
* Mines Rescue Brigade Qualification (minimum of 5 years' experience) (preferred)
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in either underground or other mining operations
* Current First Aid qualifications
* Experience delivering face to face training
* Intermediate level of competence in Microsoft Office Suite
* Current TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 preferred)
