Overview
Virgin Australia is hiring for a Leader, Crew Culture role in Melbourne. Lead, support, coach, and develop a team of Cabin Crew and customer service professionals that operate onboard our aircrafts, fostering a collaborative, empowered, and high-performing culture aligned with Virgin Australia’s values, policies, and KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Inspire and motivate Cabin Crew to deliver memorable experiences to every customer, every day.
- Ensure the team meets operational targets, safety regulations, and performance metrics while maintaining high service quality.
- Embed and lead a positive people culture in line with the Virgin Australia Group’s strategic vision and purpose.
- Facilitate performance management meetings, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and Fair Work.
- Ensure team members adhere to the Enterprise Agreement (EA), workplace regulations, and company policies.
- Support investigations into workplace incidents, grievances, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and compliant processes.
- Manage health and wellbeing of Cabin Crew, including leading return-to-work processes, injury management, and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Support day-to-day operations as required to ensure performance metrics are met.
What you need to be successful
- Minimum year 12 qualification or equivalent
- Leadership experience in leading large diverse teams in a fast-paced business
- Previous experience working in the aviation industry, ideally in Cabin Crew or a Crew Leadership position
- Alternatively, Human Resources experience is advantageous when coupled with experience leading teams
- Experience with running performance management processes and leading remote teams
- Trusted people leadership capability
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage business leaders
- Emotional intelligence and the ability to read, monitor and respond to behaviours to drive positive outcomes
- Ability to drive positive customer outcomes through a large diverse workforce
- Good understanding of working to the scope of an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement
