The Role
This role will be a 5-month fixed term period working within the Finance team and requires immediate availability to commence. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll, processing employee expenses, maintaining employee data, responding to payroll queries, reporting, and keeping records up to date. Vertech has a complex payroll with a mixture of Enterprise Agreements, Project Terms & Conditions, and Common Law Contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Fortnightly End to end payroll on a weekly basis using PayGlobal software for approximately 350 employees
* Carry out day to day payroll functions of data processing, including overtime calculations, ad hoc manual payments
* Process new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
* Ensure adherence to legislative requirements regarding payroll tax, superannuation and long service leave
* Effective customer service to respond to employee and leader queries
* Take ownership of queries with a focus on first-point resolution
* General administration as required
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Strong experience in end to end payroll processing
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
* High level organisational skills
* Ability to keep confidence
* Ability to prioritise workload
