The Opportunity
We are seeking an Environmental Services Officer to work across our operating suites at Wollongong Private Hospital. This position will be part of a team responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our operating theatres department.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in operating theatres.
* Ensuring all equipment used on shifts is cleaned, restocked, and stored in appropriate areas.
* Upholding infection control standards by adhering to protocols and any additional precautions.
* Disposing of soiled general and clinical waste.
* Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times.
* Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders to achieve quality clinical outcomes.
Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, you will work with the Department Manager Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care that aligns with the Hospital's values and strategic direction.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, and committed to genuine friendly customer service.
* Previous experience in a hospital environment is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
* Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety and Infection Control compliance.
* Experience in cleaning services.
* Team player who enjoys working in a large team.
* Attention to detail and pride in work.
* Self‐motivation and ability to work effectively while following instructions and infection prevention and control guidelines.
* Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster.

Requirements
* Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
* Ramsay may require a Working‐With‐Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
