About the Opportunity
We’re launching a brand-new division of our business, and we’re looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and essentially run their own operation within our firm.
You’ll be working closely in our Gold Coast Office with an experienced Director (based in Perth), who will review and sign off on work, but the day-to-day running, client relationships, and team building will be in your hands.
Essentially, you are running your own accounting business without the risk.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing end-to-end tax and accounting services for clients
* Reviewing financials, tax returns, and ensuring compliance
* Speaking with inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns
* Confidently pitching and onboarding new clients
* Building and leading your own accounting team over time
* Helping shape systems, processes, and workflows from the ground up
* Working closely with the Director for final review and lodgements
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Senior Tax Accountant (Australian tax essential)
* Strong technical knowledge across tax, compliance, and advisory
* Excellent communication skills – clear, confident, and professional
* Comfortable speaking with clients and converting leads into business
* A proactive, self-starter mindset, you don’t need hand-holding
* Leadership ability (or strong ambition to build and lead a team)
* Ability to work full-time in the office on the Gold Coast (flexibility available)
Bonus Points If You Have:
* Experience in a client-facing or sales-driven accounting role
* Exposure to building systems or improving workflows
* A desire to grow into a leadership or “business within a business” role
