ITM is a national wholesale supplier of professional tools and equipment, servicing Australia’s leading tool retailers and industrial distributors.
We are recognised for delivering high-quality products and are the exclusive importer for a number of leading global tool brands.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Service Technician to join our team at our Stapylton facility.
Reporting to the Service Manager, this role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and providing support for a wide range of professional tools and equipment. You will also work closely with our national repair network, sales team and customers to ensure repairs are handled efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys fault finding, working with machinery, and solving technical problems.
Key Responsibilities
* Fault finding, servicing and repair of:
o Pneumatic tools
o Hydraulic equipment
o Battery and electric power tools
o Petrol-driven tools and machinery
* Providing technical support to customers and external repair agents
* Communicating with the ITM sales team regarding repairs and product issues
* Managing spare parts stock and inventory
* Maintaining accurate repair records and documentation
* Supporting and coordinating with our Australia-wide repair network
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be practical, mechanically minded and solution focused.
You will ideally bring:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability
* Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
* Passion or interest in tools, machinery and equipment
* Ability to work independently and meet timelines
* Good computer and systems proficiency
The following would be highly regarded but not essential:
* Qualifications in Electrotechnology or Small Engine Mechanics
* Experience repairing compressors, generators or air tools
* Forklift licence
