About the Position
This position involves documenting and implementing a procurement framework across the organization, prioritizing value for money. The individual will oversee procurement and supply chain activities, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures. This includes finding and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and identifying cost-efficient methods without compromising quality.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Maintain a register of approved suppliers, ensuring new suppliers are thoroughly vetted and rated.
* Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to deliver goods, services, and projects according to agreed terms and conditions.
* Streamline purchasing processes to ensure efficiency and value for money in the organization's procurement.
* Implement effective governance arrangements to monitor contracted deliverables and outcomes.
* Assist in obtaining quotes and preparing purchase orders for authorized departments.
* Evaluate Purchase Orders to ensure compliance with the Procurement Framework.
* Coordinate procurement activities throughout the organization, ensuring compliance with the Procurement Framework and Modern Slavery Statement.
* Provide support and training to internal stakeholders for tendering, negotiation, and execution of new contracts, renewals, and amendments to existing contracts.
* Manage information and documents resulting from procurements.
* Evaluate contracts to ensure centralization and compliance requirements by contractors and suppliers are met.
About You
You will be a highly motivated individual with:
* A high level of initiative, strategic thinking, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to influence quality procurement outcomes.
* Excellent written communication skills to inform stakeholders and prepare procurement documents.
* Demonstrated self-awareness with a values-based, customer-centric, and outcomes-focused approach.
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviors when engaging with children.
* At least 4 years of experience in procurement.
* Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel.
* Proficiency in data entry skills.
