Senior Technical Sales Engineer - Engineered Cable Systems

$150,000 – $200,000 package (base + incentives)

We are an Australian manufacturer of engineered electrical cable systems supplying specialised solutions for marine, offshore oil & gas, defence, rail and heavy industrial infrastructure projects worldwide.

Our products are high‐performance engineered cables — not commodity products — designed to deliver superior durability, mechanical protection and reliability in demanding environments.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional catalogue sales role. You will work directly with engineers, shipyards, EPC contractors, procurement teams and infrastructure developers to identify opportunities and develop engineered cable solutions for complex applications.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and develop project‐based sales opportunities
* Engage with engineers, project managers and procurement teams
* Work with customers to develop custom cable solutions
* Build relationships with EPC contractors, shipyards and infrastructure companies
* Position engineered cable systems as technical solutions rather than commodity products
* Support projects across marine, offshore, defence, rail and industrial sectors
* Travel interstate and internationally to develop business

Who This Role Would Suit

We are open to candidates from a range of technical sales or engineering backgrounds including:

* Technical Sales Engineers
* Business Development Managers – Industrial or Engineering products
* Application Engineers with commercial experience
* Electrical or mechanical engineers moving into sales

Industry backgrounds may include:

* Electrical cable or electrical equipment
* Marine or offshore equipment
* Mining or oil & gas equipment
* Industrial automation or electrical distribution
* Work on major global infrastructure and energy projects
* International travel and industry exposure
* Direct access to company leadership
* Represent a manufacturer capable of designing custom solutions
* High level of autonomy and influence

Location

Port Melbourne, Victoria with interstate and international travel
