What You’ll Do
- Design and develop scalable backend solutions powering Canva’s global marketing systems.
- Work closely with marketing and data teams to build automation, analytics, and optimization tools.
- Maintain and improve systems that drive communications, growth, and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with engineers across teams to integrate Canva’s core product with marketing platforms.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide technical decisions to help shape the strategic direction.
- Promote code quality, testing, and continuous improvement best practices.
Who You Are
- Experienced backend engineer, strong in Java, with a history of building robust, scalable systems.
- Passionate about solving marketing-related challenges through technology.
- Collaborative and user-focused in your engineering approach.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Always learning and supporting others around you.
