About the role
We are seeking a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to be based at our SouthLink depot located at Aldgate in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
* Service, maintenance, repairs, and warranty work to our bus fleet.
* Complete repairs to engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs, suspensions, chassis, electrical and body components.
* Diagnose and repair general mechanical and electrical faults.
* Maintain Quality control
* Maintain a focus on preventative maintenance
* Adhere to safety instructions while performing work
* Be part of an on-call roster to service after hours breakdowns
About you:
* Relevant Diesel Mechanic qualification or experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within a transportation company (Bus or Heavy Vehicle). Light Vehicle Mechanic will be considered.
* Qualified tradesperson, with experience in maintenance servicing. Can be associated trade, diesel fitter, auto mechanic, auto electrical.
* HR Licence an advantage. Paid C-HR licence upgrades (if needed)
* A 'hands on' team player with experience in delivering best practice.
* Enthusiasm to learn new skills.
* A professional and positive attitude
* Experience with maintenance systems an advantage.
* Experience in Scania, MAN, Volvo, Cummins and Mitsubishi vehicles an advantage.
