Senior Solutions Consultant As a Senior Solutions Consultant, you will lead the design and governance of complex, high‐value technical solutions for a strategic Federal Government customer. You will play a critical role in shaping solution architectures, influencing product direction, and acting as a trusted technical advisor across large‐scale, high‐impact opportunities.Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager – Strategic & Federal Government, this role provides technical leadership, mentorship, and escalation support within the pre‐sales team. You will work collaboratively across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with customer and government requirements.An existing Australian Government security clearance of NV1 is a mandatory requirement for this role, with once a month travel to client onsite in Canberra required.Solution Architecture & Technical GovernanceGovern the design of complex, integrated solutions and architectures for large‐scale or unique customer requirements, ensuring alignment with technical standards and long‐term maintainabilityGovern technical solutioning on strategic opportunities, guiding multiple pre‐sales resources to deliver unified, high‐quality customer proposalsProvide architectural governance, technical oversight, and assurance across solution designs, ensuring consistency, quality, and best‐practice outcomesEnsure all solution designs comply with technical standards and operational requirements, with any custom elements clearly documented and approvedTechnical Leadership & Continuous ImprovementAct as the technical escalation point and subject matter expert for complex solution, product, and architecture queriesProvide mentoring and coaching to Associate Solution Consultants on an as‐needed basisDrive continuous improvement initiatives across pre‐sales processes, tools, and methodologies to improve productivity, consistency, and solution qualityStakeholder & Customer EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Product, Engineering, and DeliveryCreate compelling customer value propositions that translate technical solutions into clear business outcomesServe as a trusted technical advisor to customers, demonstrating thought leadership and credibility in complex solution discussionsInfluence Product and Engineering roadmaps by bringing insights from complex customer and government requirementsCommercial & Sales ContributionSupport the achievement of sales targets and objectives through high‐quality solution design and customer engagementPrepare executive‐level customer presentations, solution proposals, and supporting documentationWhat You Bring To The RoleMinimum 7+ years' experience in technical solution pre‐sales or solutions consulting (Bachelor's degree preferred)Enterprise communications, networking, and infrastructure expertise (IP, voice, cloud, security)Strong understanding of solution design trade‐offs (cost, performance, resilience, and risk)Executive‐level solution storytelling with a focus on business value, feasibility, and outcomesStrong customer engagement and thought leadership capabilityExperience creating customer‐facing presentations and proposalsExperience working with Federal Government or highly regulated enterprise environmentsWhat We OfferDiverse and dynamic teams with a supportive and inclusive culture.Supportive career development plans with comprehensive ongoing training, support, and development opportunities.Flexible hours and a hybrid working environmentGenerous discounts on power, gas, mobile and internet; plus, discounts to over 400 retailers.Competitive leave options, including anniversary leave, purchased leave, parental leave, volunteering leave, study leave, and 5 extra days of Vocus leave each year, plus more.Study assistance programs to excel your personal growth, learning and development.Health and wellness offerings, including access to our wellbeing initiatives that can help you from a financial, psychological, and physical perspective.We are a proud equal opportunity employer committed to providing a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment where all our team members feel like they belong.
