Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Read blueprints and instructions, and examine surfaces to determine the type and amount of work required. Carry out on-site preparations, including erecting scaffolding and covering fixtures. Prepare walls and surfaces by scraping, sanding, filling holes, and removing old paint. Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and structures. Mix and match paints and pigments to achieve required colours and finishes. Remove old paint using various techniques to properly prepare surfaces. Use appropriate tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment with precision and attention to detail. Protect surrounding areas during painting and clean up worksites upon completion. Support team members to ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications. Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and environmental policies. Work Experience and Skills: Relevant Certificate in Painting - Minimum 1 year of painting experience. Strong knowledge of painting materials and application techniques. Ability to perform preventative maintenance on equipment and power tools. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards. Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from AUD $75,000 - $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation, based on a 38-hour work week.
