Role Description/Criteria
Librarian, Ongoing Part Time - 0.75 (Tuesday - Friday)
Loyola College is a Catholic Co-educational Secondary school in the Ignatian tradition. Based in Melbourne’s northern suburbs we seek education of the whole person and strive to ensure that each student achieves his or her own unique potential.
We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced person for the ongoing part time role of Librarian.
This position works within the library team and participates in all aspects of the day to day operations of the Library. Applicants should be enthusiastic about actively providing a high level of service to the Loyola College community and have a passion for reading and literacy.
This is not a teaching role and VIT registration is not a requirement of the position.
Our ideal candidate:
• Has library experience and has or is working towards tertiary level Librarian or Information Management qualifications
• Is experienced working with young people and the ability to provide a welcoming experience for all library users
• Is experienced in promoting and fostering a love of reading, including literature enrichment programs
• Has demonstrated enthusiasm for the development and improvement of student learning outcomes through both physical and digital resources
• Has excellent communication and organisation skills
• Is competent in digital technologies
Tuesday 8.30 – 5.00
Wednesday 8.30 – 4.00
Thursday 8.00 – 4.00
Friday 8.30 – 4.00
