Qualifications & experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in a Fund Accounting role, ideally with a fund manager or fund administrator.
- Degree-qualified in Accounting and/or Finance with CPA/CA qualification.
- Knowledge of financial instruments or other asset classes, such as property, loans, or private equity.
- Proficiency in MS Office and generally technology-savvy.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
- Strong deadline orientation with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform with a high degree of professionalism, integrity and discretion.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day fund accounting operations, including NAV calculations, fund expenses, unit pricing, income distributions, and capital transactions.
- Assist with the review of investments across private equity, venture capital, credit and property funds.
- Maintain accurate custody records and ensure timely settlement and reconciliation of assets.
- Assist managers with the daily oversight of a team of fund accountants.
- Review and approve fund administration processes such as capital calls, redemptions, distributions, and fee calculations.
- Coordinate with external service providers and auditors to support compliance, tax, BAS, and audit requirements.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
