About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Manager/Senior Manager to join our highly skilled specialist tax division. You will work with multinational corporations, Australian subsidiaries of overseas companies, and Australian and Asia Pacific firms across diverse sectors. Our team advises clients on understanding tax pressures, managing risks, maximizing opportunities, ensuring compliance with ATO requirements, and making informed tax decisions.
Working closely with two long-standing Partners in the tax division, your primary focus will be advising and assisting a large client group, including privately owned corporate groups within financial services, funds management, and property industries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the key contact for clients, developing strong relationships and supporting their growth
2. Manage a portfolio of multinational enterprises, handling compliance, planning, and advisory matters
3. Identify and develop new business opportunities with clients
4. Advise clients on complex domestic and international tax matters
5. Provide technical tax advice to high net worth clients, including capital gains tax, restructures, Division 7A, and trust losses
6. Offer family advisory services such as succession and estate planning
7. Prepare tax provision calculations and tax returns
8. Assist with ATO reviews, audits, disputes, and programs
9. Manage and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional growth
10. Promote the firm through articles, presentations, and networking events
Key Skills and Experience
1. Minimum 4 years' experience in Taxation within a Chartered/CPA practice
2. Qualified CA/CPA or completed Masters of Tax
3. Up-to-date technical proficiency in taxation law, systems, and processes
4. Strong understanding of corporate and international tax
5. Previous client relationships and exposure
6. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
7. Leadership skills to guide and develop staff
8. Professional presentation and strong interpersonal/communication skills
