Kirwan State School is seeking applications for a permanent full-time Head of Special Education Services to lead the coordination and support of students with disability. In this role, you will lead a team of support teachers and teacher aides and work closely with the executive leadership team to strengthen inclusive practices across the school.

As The Head Of Special Education Services, You Will
Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability.
Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance with related legislation and policies.
About The Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Lead and coordinate the Special Education and/or Early Childhood Development Program to deliver high-quality advice and support for students with disability.
Provide expert guidance to school leaders and teachers to plan, implement and monitor effective reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices.
Deliver and coordinate targeted intervention, case management and intensive support for students requiring substantial or extensive adjustments.
Oversee school-wide systems, including data collection and compliance requirements such as the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
Build staff capability and maintain strong partnerships with families, external agencies and community services to enhance student outcomes.
