AYAN InfoTech is looking for Linux Administrator to join an exciting project based in Sydney. The role offers you the opportunity to contribute towards an extremely well structured and mature environment, working on sophisticated enhancement projects.
Role: Linux Administrator
Location: Sydney
Contract Duration: 6 Months with high possible extensions
Experience: 9+ Years
Key Responsibilities
* Over 9+ years of extensive experience in Unix/Linux system administration and network management, including:
* Installation and configuration of Linux OS on embedded hardware or development boards.
* Managing system processes, users, and permissions.
* Configuring and maintaining network services.
* Handling system logs and debugging kernel or system issues.
* Implementing security hardening and access control policies for real-time environments.
* Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructures and leading IT projects.
* Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including related services (EC2, EKS, etc.) and cloud tools such as Ansible, XLR, and Terraform.
* Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Bash, Python) for automation and task management.
* Experience with version control and configuration management tools such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.
* Understanding of embedded hardware architectures with working knowledge of bootloaders and device drivers.
* Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively across teams.
* Experience providing production system support, including maintenance, bug fixes, and after-hours support.
* Ability to update and maintain technical documentation.
* Experience in release coordination.
* Providing architectural and design guidance for system improvements.
* High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in system configurations, security measures, and documentation.
