What's the role?
The Test Director is accountable for defining, leading, and governing end‐to‐end testing and quality assurance for the multi-year SRDE Migration program, ensuring delivery certainty across large‐scale platform migration, regulatory‐sensitive change, and complex enterprise releases.
This role positions testing as a strategic risk management and assurance capability, providing senior stakeholders with confidence in release readiness, data integrity, environment stability, and long‐term platform scalability across cloud‐based architectures.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Define and embed a unified testing and quality strategy across SRDE Migration, aligned to technology, data, and cloud transformation roadmaps.
* Integrate quality, risk, and environment readiness into program planning, sequencing, and release decisions from inception.
* Establish enterprise‐grade quality controls, assurance frameworks, and risk governance to support regulatory and investment decisions.
* Lead testing and assurance across complex legacy‐to‐cloud migrations, including data platforms, analytics, and tightly coupled systems.
* Provide end‐to‐end oversight of test environments, ensuring stability, resilience, and alignment to cloud infrastructure and release timelines.
* Build a scalable testing capability, driving automation, intelligent testing, and AI‐enabled quality insights to support future‐state platforms.
What do I need?
* Extensive experience leading testing and quality assurance for large‐scale data or platform migration programs.
* Strong technology background with exposure to cloud platforms, Snowflake or similar modern data stacks, and enterprise data ecosystems.
* Experience operating in complex, regulated environments (e.g. banking, financial services, risk, data platforms).
* Proven leadership at executive and governance levels, influencing strategic and investment decisions.
* Experience managing quality across multi‐vendor, hybrid cloud, and legacy architectures.
* Strong strategic planning, commercial acumen, and ability to optimise delivery investment and cost of change.
