Are you a hands-on professional with a passion for keeping spaces running smoothly and safely? We’re seeking a proactive Facilities Coordinator to join a leading retail property group and ensure the operational excellence of one of Toowoomba’s busiest shopping centres.
About the Role
As the Facilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of maintenance, contractor management, and compliance across the centre. This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with the Centre Manager and wider team to deliver a well-presented, safe, and efficient environment for retailers, customers, and the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating routine and preventative maintenance programs.
* Managing contractors and suppliers to deliver works safely and to standard.
* Supporting tenancy works, inspections, and retailer fit-outs.
* Overseeing WHS compliance, risk registers, and emergency procedures.
* Assisting with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.
* Ensuring presentation standards of the centre are consistently met.
About You
You’re a motivated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a busy operational environment. With strong communication skills, you can build rapport with contractors, retailers, and stakeholders, while juggling competing priorities with ease.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
* Experience in facilities, maintenance, or contract management (retail or commercial preferred).
* Knowledge of building systems, plant, and equipment.
* Strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
* Confidence in managing WHS processes and risk compliance.
* A collaborative, solutions-focused attitude with great interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to manage occasional weekend or after-hours requirements.
