Right now the company is experiencing exciting growth across the country and we are looking for smart and energised Systems Safety Engineers to join our team.
Our systems safety engineers are world class and working on projects that truly contribute to the Defence of our nation. We are looking for specialists with a talent for big picture thinking and attention to detail – engineers with the knowledge and know how to apply technical theories and concepts and deliver real‐world solutions. We depend on our System Safety engineers to support design maturation of complex programs, from early concept to final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to System Safety Programs and to overall product Safety Cases.
* Contribute to the completion of program milestones.
* Conduct system safety analysis and deliver associated system safety deliverables in accordance with the agreed schedule.
* Conduct reviews of supplier safety analysis and liaise with suppliers on system safety related matters.
* Populate the hazard tracking system and manage the associated data.
* Assist with the planning, co‐ordination, and conduct of system safety working groups.
* Provide status and estimate remaining effort for assigned tasks.
* Identify and escalation risks using defined processes.
* Provide support to design reviews throughout the product lifecycle.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Requires a System Safety or risk assessment qualification(s).
* Desirable to have Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and/or Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) qualification(s).
* Desirable to have familiarity with systems engineering tools such as DOORS
* Desirable to have familiarity with MIL‐STD‐882E
* Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
* Knowledge of Systems Engineering.
* Experience in carrying out hazard identification and analysis tasks including:
o Preliminary Hazard Analysis
o Health Hazard Analysis
o Operation Support Hazard Analysis
o Sub System Hazard Analysis
o System Hazard Analysis
* Ability to work collaboratively with others to solve complex problems
