About the Role
The Aboriginal School and Community Worker position exists to support Catholic schools in providing a welcoming and safe place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with opportunities that promote the learning, pastoral, and spiritual well-being of Aboriginal students, their families, and community.
* Communication with Aboriginal families, school personnel, and forming partnerships with local Aboriginal organizations and Elders is essential.
Detailed Job Requirements:
* IDentify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be able to engage and connect with Aboriginal Elders and local community organizations.
* Support the purpose, vision, and values of Catholic Education.
* The ability to work independently, supportively, and collaboratively with all community members.
* Effective communication skills in various settings.
* Current NSW Driver's License.
* NSW Working with Children Check.
* A successful candidate will undertake a National Criminal History Check.
* Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A) or willingness to achieve.

* St Patrick's Coleambally - 7 hours.
* Sacred Heart Tocumwal - 7 hours.
* St Joseph's Jerilderie - 7 hours.
* St Joseph's Finley - 7 hours.
