Ceduna Café & Restaurant is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering fresh, high-quality meals and excellent service to our community and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of meals.
- Determine menu items and seasonal specials in consultation with management.
- Ensure food quality, portion sizes, and presentation meet our standards.
- Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and maintain cost control.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and occupational health standards.
- Adapt menus for dietary requirements and customer preferences.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and consistency.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of full-time experience as a Chef (essential).
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
