Registered Nurse, Child and Family Health The Child and Family Health Nurse works within a multi-disciplinary team as part of the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Child and Family Health Service. The nurse aims to maintain, improve, and promote the health and wellbeing of children and their families within the NSLHD community. The role requires sound clinical judgment and effective communication skills to care for families, respecting individual and cultural values, and empowering families through a sensitive and flexible approach.

Key Responsibilities: Provide health screening, counseling, and advisory services to infants, children, and their families in various settings. Undertake health assessments and ongoing screening as per guidelines. Identify health issues and formulate management plans in consultation with families. Employ communication skills to work with families, carers, and others, reflecting Family Partnership principles. Plan and facilitate parent and community education groups. Document all client contact and interventions accurately. Participate in workplace health and safety activities and adhere to policies and procedures. Candidate Requirements: Registered Nurse – Division 1 with AHPRA Current drivers license recognized in NSW Understanding of health services to families at home Counseling, group facilitation, and partnership skills Ability to work independently and in a team Excellent communication skills, verbal and written People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
