We are seeking a contract Business / Functional Analyst for an initial 2 month contract with a view to extend. This position will be part of a major Security Access Modernisation initiative that is transitioning from legacy identity and access management systems to the future state platform. This position will involve working closely with architects, developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to analyse requirements, shape solution designs, and ensure successful application migration into the AppConnect ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Lead business and functional analysis activities for application migration from legacy systems to AppConnect. Analyse IAM related requirements, including authentication flows, onboarding processes, access governance, and integration patterns. Work with architects and developers to define solution requirements and system behaviours aligned with IAM capabilities. Document business requirements and functional designs using user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, mock‑ups, and related artefacts. Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, technical teams, and product owners to elicit requirements and validate solution designs. Capture and map as‑is and to‑be business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement and re‑engineering. Develop or contribute to system integration specifications, including data mapping, API requirements, and identity provider/service provider interactions. Support solution demonstrations, user onboarding activities, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario development and defect triage. Assist with change‑related activities such as stakeholder engagement, training support, and communication of migration impacts. To successfully deliver this outcome, you will require technical and system knowledge which include Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, including federated authentication, SSO, user lifecycle management, and access governance. Experience with IAM platforms such as IBM Security Verify Access, AppConnect, Azure AD, Okta, Ping, or similar technologies. Familiarity with authentication and authorisation protocols such as SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and related integration patterns. Understanding of system integration, APIs, data mapping, and interface specifications. Experience working in Agile delivery environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence. Key Selection Criteria Experience in system solution analysis within complex enterprise environments. Demonstrated experience providing Agile business analysis and functional analysis services. Extensive experience documenting requirements and functional designs using user stories, wireframes, mock‑ups, and similar artefacts. Strong capability in negotiating with business stakeholders, users, technical teams, and product owners to achieve agreed outcomes. Proven ability to lead and facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholder groups. Experience in process re‑engineering, including capturing as‑is and to‑be processes using process flows. Experience developing or contributing to system integration specifications, particularly in IAM contexts. Experience showcasing system solutions and supporting User Acceptance Testing activities. IAM domain experience, including authentication flows, onboarding processes, and access governance, with exposure to modern IAM platforms.
