Our Client based is looking for a Payroll Officer to assist with the increase in workload. Your team is seeking stability and demonstrates a high level of drive and motivation to perform and develop.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Immediate start - an initial 6 month opportunity with likelihood of extension and transitioning into a more stable position. A perfect opportunity to secure work life balance with WFH arrangements offered. Reporting to the Payroll Coordinator you will be assisting in duties to coordinate and produce a timely and accurate payroll.
DUTIES.
Assist the Payroll Coordinator
Process payroll functions (end-to-end)
Process weekly payroll for permanent, temporary and casual staff
Calculations, taxation and reconciliations as required
Participate in the learning and development of current skills within Council as a Payroll Officer
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in payroll processing
Experience in payroll processing in Local Council (preferred)
Able to adapt your foundational payroll skills in a new environment
High level of attention to detail & simple problem solving skills
Strong work ethic
Experience in payroll data capture, analysis and designing/generating reports
CULTURE.
It is expected that you attend the office for the first couple of weeks before being assigned WFH days. You will be part of a creative workplace in a modern office and be able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
