Job Title: Server Infrastructure Specialist
The role of the Server Infrastructure Specialist is a critical position within our organisation, requiring a high level of technical expertise and experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
Responsibilities of the Server Infrastructure Specialist include:
* Designing and implementing Windows Server and Active Directory environments to support migrating workloads to a new Active Directory Forest in a sensitive and high-availability environment;
* Maintaining VMware virtualisation infrastructure to ensure efficient use of resources and optimal performance;
* Implementing security remediation and uplift in accordance with organisational requirements and industry standards;
* Utilising various monitoring, vulnerability, and fault analysis tools to troubleshoot and optimise operating environments;
* Installing, customising, and maintaining Windows server operating systems and server hardware to meet client needs and service level expectations;
* Diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems in consultation with clients, staff, external service providers, and vendors;
* Creating documentation to support operating environments, including architecture and as-built-as-configured documentation;
* Collaborating closely with stakeholders and systems owners across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and effective communication;
Requirements:
* Ability to implement and manage Windows Server and Active Directory;
* Knowledge performing Active Directory migrations in high-availability environments;
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing and managing VMware virtualisation infrastructure;
* High attention to detail with good communication skills with stakeholders and clients, and experienced in technical writing;
* Ability to carry out duties in accordance with safety, environmental, and quality policies and corporate values and strategies;
* Sound understanding of Information Management Infrastructure Library (ITIL);
* Familiarity with operational technology environments and their unique constraints;
* Industry certifications or equivalents: AZ-800 & AZ-801 / MCSA / MCSE / VCP-DCV.
