With student enrolments approaching 1,000 and projected to grow extensively over the coming years, the College is entering an exciting phase of growth. This senior appointment will play a pivotal role in ensuring the sustainability of that growth by leading the development and implementation of a fit-for-purpose HR function from the ground up.
This position offers a rare opportunity to shape people strategy and workplace culture in a vibrant, Christ-centred school environment.
Key Responsibilities
o Establish and lead the College's first dedicated HR function, with a focus on scalability and best practice
o Drive recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning across a diverse staff cohort of 260+ spanning the College, on-site childcare centre, and café operations
o Partner with the Executive Team to develop retention strategies, support staff capability building, and embed a positive, Christ-aligned culture
o Oversee HR policies, employee relations, WHS, and legislative compliance
o Provide high-level coaching, guidance, and support to College leaders
o Lead wellbeing and culture initiatives that foster a safe, inclusive, and flourishing work environment
About You
o You are a committed Christian, able to authentically live out and model your faith within a workplace community
o You bring extensive generalist HR experience, ideally gained in a school, not-for-profit or other mission-aligned setting
o You are confident in setting up HR systems and strategy in environments experiencing growth or change
o You are a trusted advisor, capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
o You are a values-driven leader with exceptional interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
o You hold, or are eligible to obtain, a current Working with Children Blue Card
