About the Role
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented
Research Analyst
to join our team in Australia. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about turning data and information into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for conducting research, analysing trends, preparing reports, and presenting findings to internal or external stakeholders.
You will work across multiple projects, providing high-quality analysis that contributes directly to business initiatives and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support business, market, or industry analysis.
* Collect, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources, including reports, databases, surveys, and interviews.
* Create research reports, presentations, and insights summaries for internal teams or clients.
* Analyse market trends, competitive landscapes, customer behaviour, and industry developments.
* Assist in preparing forecasts, financial models, or scenario analysis (depending on domain).
* Verify data accuracy and ensure strong research integrity.
* Present insights clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
* Support the development of new research frameworks, methodologies, and processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy, product, marketing, finance, or policy teams.
Requirements
Essential
* Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Finance, Social Sciences, Data Analytics, or a related field.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and basic statistical techniques.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, concise insights.
* High attention to detail and strong research accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
Desirable
* Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
* Familiarity with SPSS, R, Python, or other analytical tools.
* Previous experience in research, consulting, finance, marketing, or government environments.
* Experience working with Australian market or industry data sources.
* Knowledge of survey design, market analysis, or policy research methodologies.
