Senior Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy Projects. Our client is a leading renewable energy developer and investor with a diverse portfolio of projects. With an ambitious pipeline of developments and a commitment to accelerating Australia's energy transition, they are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their high-performing team.
Base pay range
A$220,000.00/yr - A$280,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage legal aspects of M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and corporate structuring.
* Advise on property and land access arrangements, including leasing, easements, and landowner negotiations.
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts relevant to renewable energy development.
* Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
* Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including development, finance, and operations teams, to support project delivery.
* Engage and manage external legal advisors where required.
Qualifications
* Qualified lawyer with 7+ years PQE (private practice and/or in-house).
* Strong background in corporate/M&A law, ideally with exposure to infrastructure or energy projects.
* Experience in property law and land access matters.
* Commercially minded with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and contributing to the energy transition.
