We are seeking a Financial Governance Specialist for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in financial governance, reporting, and systems management.
You will act as the liaison between departments, maintain financial structures across Revenue System and Oracle, and ensure processes are documented and continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with revenue and collection teams for timely and accurate recording of revenue and collections in the financial system.
* Maintain and document financial structures and processes across RMS and Oracle with regular and month-end closing processes.
* Support finance team members and stakeholders to achieve outcomes and provide ad-hoc reports and queries management.
* Prepare month-end accrual journals, reconciliations, and assist with audit requirements arrangements and external reporting.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies.
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting in a complex corporate environment.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and instructions.
* Experience documenting and improving processes and procedures.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Experience preparing accrual journals, reconciliations, and contributing to annual reporting and audits.
* Knowledge of compliance and reporting in a commercial environment.
Desirable
* Proficiency in advanced Excel spreadsheets.
* Experience maintaining revenue and debtors' financials within systems ensuring controls.
* Understanding of utilities sector regulations and taxation.
* Previous corporate accounting experience.
