Where you'd be working:
This role is part of our Development group located in Forest Hill VIC and provides analysis, technical design and coding skills to enable the ongoing development and maintenance of Pronto Xi ERP enterprise solutions.
What you'll be doing (your day will look like this):
* Acquire and develop skills in technologies required for the Pronto suite of Applications.
* Immerse yourself in hands‑on software development, including coding, writing technical specifications, testing, and code release.
* Follow Pronto Coding and Development Standards to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
* Assist with modelling recommended solutions and perform development tasks according to specifications.
* Document all changes clearly for easy interpretation by others, maintaining prescribed standards.
* Collaborate with project teams including Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Testing Analysts.
* Provide second‑level technical support and assist with troubleshooting reported issues.
* Contribute to product‑related end‑user training activities and assist in creating documentation such as training guides and webinars.
* Attend client sites when required for consulting or programming advice.
* Ensure adherence to Pronto Security and Policy Framework and programming standards.
We're looking for a Graduate Software Developer who has:
* A passion for learning and applying new technologies.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
* Familiarity with coding standards and software development best practices.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Exposure to software development tasks such as coding, testing, and technical design.
* Adaptable and quick to learn emerging technologies.
* Knowledge of AI‑assisted coding and prompt engineering.
* Applies critical thinking to refine AI‑generated solutions.
* Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
To enjoy being a Pronto Software Employee you'd need to have:
* Degree in Information Technology Business/Commerce area.
* Understanding of procedural and/or object‑based language development.
* Knowledge of any 4GL language (highly regarded).
* Understanding and experience of software engineering environment and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile Methods.
* A current driver's license as travel to customer sites is required.
* Interstate travel may be required.
